Melanni is a psychologist and received her master’s degree in Neurobiology from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. She is also a Ph.D. student at Graduate Training Center of Neuroscience, International Max Planck Research School, Tübingen, Germany. Her thesis focuses on the psychological and physiological markers of emotion processing using naturalistic paradigms. Melanni uses a multimodal approach including fMRI, pupillometry and heart rate.
